Second day on Skye, we went to the west side of the island to visit the seat of the McLeod Clan. The castle was under renovations so large areas were under tarps and pictures were not permitted within the castle. It was an incredibly cold day considering we were in August. I believe it was up to 8 degrees but I swear that, in some areas the castle, I could see my breath. There was a dungeon but no prisoners during our visit.
There is an incredible garden on the grounds as well as a rocky shore.
Lucky McLeods to have an ancestral seat on such a beautiful property but you must be a tough lot to survive the cold.
