Kutna Hora -The Czech Republis

After our visit to the Ossuary, we returned to the funny little train station where we had arrived to catch a small local rail car which had to be switched back and forth by the driver. The town is very pretty and many of the buildings are 15th Century. Architectural styles are varied including gothic, renaissance and baroque.
For a while, it appeared that we had acquired a stalker as this young fellow and his female acquaintance wanted to follow us about. In fairness, he may have only wanted to continue improving his English skills which were very good. It just felt odd as he was so attached to us. At one point, we had opportunity to visit a house while he was distracted and we did lose our friend.
Besides the houses from the 14 to 18 Centuries which are still occupied by the folks of Kutna Hora, the main attraction was the Cathedral of St. Barbara which is a gothic monument which was started in the 14 Century. The church interior has original murals for the 15th Century showing the tradesmen who worked on completing the structure.
There were numerous museums but frankly we are reaching our capacity for taking in another museum so we just walked about the town and had cold drinks. It was really hot.
We had a bit of a mix up with the trains so we needed direction from someone at the Information Office who made it really clear to us that her job was to answer questions about the trains and not to supply tourists with answers. Never mind. We figured out the Underground and got back to our hotel room with no incidents.
