In spite of a tricky tummy, I really enjoyed this short (about an hour and half) cruise on the Strait. There was a lot of water traffic of all types. Interestingly, in spite of all the visible garbage in the water, there were fisherman on most of the banks and bridges. Turks must have incredible immune systems to withstand the stuff that must be floating in these waters. The properties along the Strait are among the most expensive on the planet. The big white building which looks like a wedding cake was the last home of the Sultans after they relocated from the Topaki Place. Mustafa Kamil Ataturk spent his last days in this building. Shortly after his death, the property was open to the public.
The other interesting thing that I noticed was that property is so valuable that they do not waste the lower levels of bridges but rather they have shops and restaurants located on them.
One last day in Turkey and our visit here ends.
