Little Britain

Day started late as both of us were tired from the day before so it was close to mid-day when we went off in search of a cup of coffee. There is only street with restaurants, a hardware store and a chemist (not unlike Peachland but it is on the Med and not Lake Okanagan).
Too late for breakfast so we had lunch at an Italian restaurant where we met some of the regulars. One couple really recommended this restaurant suggesting that a starter of prawns and avocado was really big enough for a meal and was great. They were right but John had a pizza which almost defeated him. We helped them with a trivia game with world capitals and they helped us by giving us some background for the area.
Roaming around the street, we found a shop run by a woman from Billericay in Essex. She had been in Spain for decades and had business connections in Egypt as well as Spain. We had the impression that she juggled many things to make a living. For those who know, it stuck us a bit of Del Boy about her. She and I have much in common as our first initials are MM, we are both Virgos, and have odd choices in reading materials and spouses. Her shop was full of interesting junk and I loved her energy.
This evening, we went to a met and greet at the traverna where we received a sangria, more news and information about the area and the resort. They had a raffle and our odds were really good as there were only about 2 dozen people with 3 gifts. John won a 50 EURO voucher for local restaurants.
After which, we walked down to the ocean which is really rocky. There were bumpy bits in the distance which may be Africa as we are told it is only about 20 miles away. The beach was really sad with junk all over it. Too bad people cannot take their garbage home with them.

With the exception of the Med and the heat; which really disappears quickly at night, being here is much like England. The nights are really cool; so much so that I had to grab an extra blanket for the bed.
