Reminder to John & Maggie:::
This is meant to be an adventure with potential to expand life experience rather than a trial by ordeal. Lofty ideals when considering lists for mundane tasks such as getting teeth cleaned and buying enough kitty litter for 4 months.
The time for being bogged down with the details is coming to an end and we must trust that the your mother and the cat will survive their respective ordeals and the house and all its contents will still be here when we return home.
For anyone else planning this type of trip, do not underestimate the emotional challenges. Mother in law is already suffering homesickness and we have not even left the driveway.
